AutoResponse Plus System Requirements

• A web site hosted on a web server running UNIX or Linux (not Windows NT/2000)
   
• MySQL (at least 3.23.39)
   
• Access to the MySQLDump and MySQL programs for backing up and restoring data
   
• Perl 5.005 or greater with your own CGI-BIN (Time::HiRes, DBI, DBD::mysql, File::stat, and CGI modules installed)
   
• FTP access for installing and configuring AutoResponse Plus
   
• Sendmail, Qmail or Exim on your server (Exim or QMail are much better for fast sending of e-mail)
  Note: Does Not Work With Postfix
   
• Ability to create and run cron tasks
   

And optionally...

AutoResponse Plus accepts subscriptions through web based forms. It also can accept subscriptions by e-mail if your server has a way of piping incoming e-mail through a Perl script. For example, you may be able to do this with a .forward or .procmailrc configuration file. Check with your web host. If your host does not have or allow this feature, the following parts of AutoResponse Plus will not work:

• E-mailed subscriptions and unsubscriptions
   
• Automatic bounced e-mail management
   
• Remote control
   
• Integration with Formmail and Opt-In Automator
   

Browser Compatibility

AutoResponse Plus has been tested with the following PC based browsers:

- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5, 6.0

- Netscape 7.0

- Opera 6.05

- Mozilla 1.1

Your browser must have cookies and Javascript enabled. Any "popup killer" you are using must be de-activated or some features of AutoResponse Plus (eg help, preview) will not be available. AutoResponse Plus uses a lot of Javascript, most Apple Mac browsers have worked.
